Injured or orphaned animals can appear when you least expect them and not always in the most easily accessible places. Please make sure that you do not put yourself or anyone else in danger while trying to help an animal.
If you can catch the animal without no risk to yourself then use a towel to catch the animal (or similar) and place in a newspaper and fleece lined box with suitable air holes. You can add a direct source of heat making sure that it is well wrapped and there is space for the animal to move away from the heat source if required.
Because every animals requires different care please contact your local rehabilitator before attempting to feed etc. We recommend you ringing your local rehabilitator for guidance at this point.
